NSAL Florida East Coast Chapter is dedicated to helping promising young artists through our competitions and scholarships. Information about the current opportunities are listed below with application links and contact information for your convenience.

2021 Competitions

Piano and Strings Duo

Application Deadline has Passed

Preliminary recording due on January 25, 2020.

Live Final Round February 29, 2020 at Lynn University in Boca Raton.

First Prize: $2,000 for each member of duo.

Second Prize: $1,000 for each

Third Prize: $500 for each

*Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate school in the State of Florida.

For ages 23-31

Preliminary YouTube video due on Feburary 15, 2020.

Please submit the url for your YouTube video and attach a completed application form to Marilyn Nelson.

Prizes:

$10,000 in prizes are awarded, the highest being $5,000.

Entrants will be reviewed by local Chapter's judges and a maximum of two will be chosen to advance to National for competition.

The winner will be invited to perform at NSAL National Meeting held in Chicago on May 21-23, 2020.

The first part of the application details the rules from Nationals and the types of performances we require at the local and national competition levels.

Local Competition Prizes:

First Place: $2,000 and an all- expense paid trip to compete in Chicago May 20-24, 2020.

Second Place:$1,000

Third Place: $750
